ICET-2008 Second Phase from 18th August 2008

Admissions schedule of Counseling to ICET2008, First Phase counseling continuation to Sc,St, BC-C and BC-E students is 31st July to 5th August 2008.Special category counseling PH/CAP/NCC students 6th August to 9th August2008. this is held on only at Pgrrcde,Osmania University,Hyd. Sports Category students have to apply to convener duly with Xerox copies of Sports certificates on or before of 6 th August 2008.Counseling schedule to this category will be announced later. Web based counseling starting from 4th August to 11th August 2008. The candidates who already admitted during First Phase within 30,000 Ranks are eligible to web counseling. Web based Counseling to the cadidates who have not taken admission/absent during First Phase is from 12th August to 14th August 2008 in Online Counseling centers. All importent Second & Final Phase of Counseling to above 30,000 ranks students is from 18th August to 24th August2008 in regular online Counseling centers. Classes to MBA/MCA students starting from 25th August 2008. The work on dividing the JNTU into four diffrent universities is on at full pace and the issue is likely to figure in the next Cabinet meeting. as per the plans, the university would acquire new names along with separate Acts though the brand JNTU would remain.But the change will not affect the existinng students and only those getting admitted after the new university take birth will came under the rules and regulations of new new universities. The three Campuses at Hyderabad,Nanthapur and Kakinada will be the headquarter to the new universities, the School of Planning and Architecture at Hyderabad will be created as a separate university. The existing JNTU Act is totally different from the other universities in the State and change have to be brought in accordingly. The options would be open for five yeara and they would be shifted as and when the vacancy and need arises. As of now, nearly 500 engineering colleges are affiliated to the JNTU while most of them also offer MBA and MCA courses and they are also affiliated to the University.
